Europe's Tribute to Elvis Trophy Unveilled

The bespoke Europe's Tribute to Elvis trophy was unveiled at the 'Elvis & Us' exhibition at The Beatles Story, Liverpool ahead of the first annual contest.

Charles and Steve Horn, who is organiser for the event, firstly visited 'Elvis and Us' where they unveiled the brand new gold-plated trophy for 'Europe’s Tribute to Elvis' which will be hosted at The Hilton Hotel, Blackpool between 5th-7th July. After visiting 'Elvis and Us', Charles and Steve took the short walk to the Beatles Story, Albert Dock. Charles was keen to see The Beatles Story as he’s a huge fan of The Beatles and worked closely with Paul McCartney in 1976 on his ‘Wings over America’ tour.

Charles said about Elvis and Us “You wouldn’t believe that it (Elvis and Us) was a temporary exhibition that came over from Graceland, it is brilliant!” and he told us what it was like working with Elvis, Charles said "working and travelling with Elvis on the Lisa Marie was the experience of a lifetime. He touched my life in a way that can never be duplicated."

Although Charles has worked with many amazing talents throughout his career and has years of memories and personal stories to share, nothing compares to his time spent on tour and in Vegas with Elvis, the Colonel, and all the enthusiastic, supportive fans. There is nothing he enjoys more than having the opportunity to relive his Elvis years as he shares his memories and experiences during frequent speaking engagements around the world.

Tees Events would like to thank the staff at the 'Elvis & Us' exhibit for allowing us to use their fantastic venue for the trophy's unveilling.

The overall winner of Europe's Tribute to Elvis contest and the two runners up will be awarded with specially commissioned trophies, and will each get to keep smaller versions of the official trophy.
