Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest

Elvis tribute artists who competed in Europe's Tribute to Elvis 2015 in alphabetical order following the top three.


Winner: Ricky Aron

  • Home Town: Liverpool
  • Favourite Elvis Song: You’ll Never Walk Alone

Ricky has been performing as an ETA since 2007 but has been singing and gigging professionally for 20 years. He had a lead role in the west end show "Cliff the Musical," portraying the young Cliff Richard and has done so on numerous occasions. Ricky also performs as a Shakin' Stevens tribute up-and-down the country with his "Ricky Aron Rock'n'Roll Show."


Second: Johnny Lee Memphis

Johnny Lee Memphis has been an Elvis fan all his life. His mums younger sister aunt Helen got him started.

He has been performing his tribute since the fall of 2004, and he is loving it still today.



Matt King

Matt began performing his tribute show in Tenerife, Canary Islands in 1991, after winning a holiday Elvis sound alike contest. He now performs all over Europe. He has appeared on numerous TV programmes including: "The Time, The Place" (ITV), "Naked City with Lily Savage" (Channel 4), "The Richard and Judy Show" and many more.

Matt was a finalist at both the 2013 and 2014 Europe's Tribute to Elvis contests hosted by Tees Events.


Dave B

  • Home Town: Eastbourne, East Sussex
  • Favourite Elvis Song: Anything from the 50s or 60s

Dave has been a rock'n'roll vocalist and Elvis tribute artist since 2003. His solo show also includes a Shakin Stevens tribute, but it's as his idol, Elvis Presley, where he has had most success: fronting two theatre shows that play across the UK. Dave has been an Elvis fan since the age of nine and his first album was Elvis' 40 Greatest Hits bought as a Christmas present. Dave prefers the younger image of The King from the 50s and 60s, even though, as he puts it "he is knocking on a bit himself."


Steve Carini

Steve has been performing as an Elvis tribute for some time and is regarded by some as having the sound and the looks of the King. He has performed in many venues in his hometown and surrounding areas in the northeast, as well as up-and-down the country. He is part of a cabaret act that performs at charity events and private parties.

Rudy Diomedi

Rudy was born in 1986 and heard Elvis for the first time when he was 14, listening to "If I Can Dream". That song inspired him to be successful in life and since 2010 his dream to become an Elvis tribute artist come true. He now plays with The King Elvis Tribute Band all around Italy.

Elvoice, otherwise known as Guido Regenhard, says Elvis has been his best friend all his life! He saw Elvis in the movies when he was 4 and starting to sing when he was 1 and a half.

Guido has been singing Elvis more and more over the years since 2008 and in 2010 he began to enter contests in the UK. He does all shows and decades and likes to perform with all the powerful energy of Elvis. This will be Guido's third appearance at Europe's Tribute to Elvis.

Mike Fetzner

Mike has been an Elvis fan since he was seven years old and has been an active Elvis tribute artist since the age of 20. His favourite album is "Moody Blue" and he loves the decade of the early Vegas years.

This is the first time Mike has entered an official Ultimate contest but has previously been placed third in the Swiss Elvis Contest in 2010.

Garry J Foley

Garry J Foley is a multi award winning Elvis Tribute Artist (ETA) and has performed throughout UK, EUROPE, USA and ASIA in theatre productions.

Garry came 2nd place in Europe's Tribute to Elvis Ultimate contest in 2013 and 3rd in 2014 and a finalist in 2015.

In 2015, Garry secured the 'LEAD ELVIS' role in the acclaimed Las Vegas theatre production of 'ELVIS - The King of Rock and Roll' for Spirit (Worldwide) Productions and toured China, performing 42 shows in 30 cities to wonderful reviews.


Elvis G

Elvis G, a professional Elvis tribute artist, found Elvis at a very young age and would listen to him over and over, falling in love with his songs. He now performs up and down the country, entering competitions along the way and meeting a lot of good friends in the Elvis world.


Marc George

  • Home Town: Bridgend, Wales
  • Favourite Elvis Song: Who Am I

Marc has been an Elvis fan since the age of seven. Singing Elvis songs soon became his "party piece" at family gatherings and parties. He started his tribute to Elvis when he was 17 years old and has performed semi-professionally and professionally ever since.

Marc was a semi-finalist in last year's Europe's Tribute to Elvis contest.


Steve Halliday

  • Favourite Elvis Song: Mama Liked The Roses

Steve has performed in venues all over the world, including the United States and Europe. He appeared on the 'Stars In Your Eyes' Elvis special and was a finalist on BBC One's 'World Greatest Elvis' show.

Steve portrayed Elvis for the 'Lonesome Tonight' boxset television campaign and has toured the UK theatre circuit for the last ten years.


Andy Jones

Andy has been in the entertainment industry for almost 20 years as a singer also a DJ. He has loved Elvis since watching the Aloha from Hawaii concert in the '70s. He has been performing as an Elvis Tribute artist for the last few years and would be proud to represent Europe in the USA.


Peter King

Peter's music career started in his late teens playing keyboard and singing backing vocals: later progressing to lead vocals. Ten years ago he decided to combine his singing experience with his passion for Elvis' music and since then has delighted audiences across the UK with his own tribute show. Peter has also appeared on BBC One's "The One Show".


Paul Molloy

After a year off from Elvis tribute competitions, Paul is back with us. Paul was third place in Europe’s Tribute to Elvis contest in 2013. Having performed as Elvis for years he is currently touring in the hit UK theatre tour “Roy Orbison and friends”. He is looking forward to taking part and a great event.


Mike McAlpine

Mike hails from Kirklevington on Teesside and lives in Germany. Wherever he performs, on the continent or back in the UK, he does his utmost to generate the excitement and fun so majestically brought to the world by the King, Elvis. As a child Mike was won over by the dynamism of Elvis’ performances. The 50’s numbers were full of excitement and fun. With time he brgan to recognise the depth and integrity of Elvis as an entertainer but also as a person. Mike still likes to rock out the early numbers but finds fulfilment in every aspect of Elvis’ career.

Elvis has been a great source of inspiration for him throughout most of his life and Mike is grateful for the friendships and opportunities the Elvis world has presented him with.


Eddie Popescu

Eddie Popescu was born in Romania in 1977. One of Eddie's earliest memories is watching the Elvis movie "Fun in Acapulco" when he was six years old, after which he decided to be a singer. Later he learned to play the guitar and practiced the Elvis songs that he liked best, eventually joining a local group as vocalist. He moved to England five years ago and has been performing in his own show in the many venues across the North East.


John Reid

John has been an Elvis tribute for over 20 years and has been an Elvis fan since he was a small child. He says there's not a day goes by that he doesn't listen to Elvis.

"I am so grateful that my tribute to Elvis has allowed be to travel the world," says John, who has appeared on the BBC, Sky and has performed during Elvis Week in Memphis.


Andy Reno

Andy has been an Elvis fan for many years since watching 'Jailhouse Rock' as a child. He was amazed by Elvis' voice and looks and still is to this day. His aim is to keep the King's legacy alive with a respectful and authentic tribute.

Encouraged by his friends, Andy has been performing professionally since 2009.


Rick E. Richards

Rick has been a tribute artist to both Elvis and Dean Martin for five years. He has been an Elvis fan since childhood and enters as many Elvis competitions as possible in order to keep the King's name alive.

Rick became an Elvis tribute after his friend and fellow ETA, Elvis G, talked him into performing at a charity event. He now performs his Elvis show up-and-down the country.


Fisher Stevens

Fisher Stevens has been performing his Elvis tribute for 9 years, including performances on local and national TV, BBC radio, London theatres and cruise ships. He has performed his show to thousands of people all over the world. Fisher has entered and won numerous Elvis contests and has never failed to attain a top five place.

A huge fan of Elvis since a child, Fisher enjoys the privilege of performing his tribute to the King.


Chris Tierney

Chris' family have been Elvis fans for many years and whilst Chris was in Memphis at the age of 10 he was able to sing on the Elvis Radio station. He then performed for family parties for the next few years. He has now been performing as Elvis for a few of years. He has won amateur contests in 2012 and has recently won the Gold Lame Jacket and Best Festival Elvis in September 2013 Porthcawl, Wales. His Ambition is to one day perform a show in Vegas.

Chris was a finalist in last year's Europe's Tribute to Elvis contest.


Brian Troy

Brian began working as an Elvis tribute around 15 years ago when he was 20. Now aged 35, he works as a teacher in Copenhagen and is the lead singer in the band "Elvis On My Mind."

Brian's love for Elvis started at the age of 8 when he heard "Hound Dog."


Rob Willis

From a young age Rob was always dressing like Elvis: it was the one thing and one person he always wanted to be. Rob has now been performing as an Elvis tribute for around four years, prior to that he sang in his schools 'Rock and Jazz' orchestra, where he toured a number of countries in Europe singing popular Elvis songs. He has now put together his own Elvis tribute show and regularly gigs all over.
