Jimmy Velvet

In the 1950’s, Jimmy Velvet was a young recording artist that toured with just about everyone in the rock and roll business including Elvis. His hits included songs like 'We Belong Together', 'History Of Love', ’Blue Velvet’, 'To The Aisle', 'It's Almost Tomorrow' and 'Teen Angel'... While zooming up the charts via television appearances and numerous concerts, Jimmy was fortunate enough to work on several of the famous Dick Clark Tours, and even at his young age was also billed as the the Producer & Promoter of many of those Shows.

As the tour producer for Elvis Presley throughout the 1970's, Charles Stone had the rare opportunity to be closely associated with both Elvis Presley and his manager Colonel Tom Parker.

Charles flew with Elvis and his associates on Elvis' personal plane, The Lisa Marie, from city to city each time Elvis went on tour. Being in the unique position of travelling with Elvis and also managing the personal details of each tour, Charles experienced daily life in Elvis' world and also developed a close working relationship and close friendship with Colonel Parker and the entire TCB gang.

"Working and traveling with Elvis on the Lisa Marie was the experience of a lifetime. He touched my life in a way that can never be duplicated."

—Charles Stone, 2012
